As a Rancho Santa Margarita City Councilman, these are
John's Top Three Priorities
Since its inception in 2000, Rancho Santa Margarita has always been a financially-sound city. As your City Councilman, I will pledge to ensure that all of my votes demonstrate fiscal responsibility on behalf of both the city and our residents and businesses. It is imperative that the City Council's policy decisions maintain the financial security and economic stability of all aspects of our community.
Rancho Santa Margarita has been consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in America. As your City Councilman, I will make every effort to preserve our public safety in decisions made that involve reducing traffic, crime prevention, and safe neighborhoods and parks.
2020 has also found us deep in a global pandemic that has affected us all. As your City Councilman I will do my best to: assist affected local businesses including support in conducting business outdoors, work to keep the public informed about the ever-changing federal, state, and county Covid-19 public safety guidelines, and work to ensure that our local community continues to receive available pandemic relief funds.
Preserving our Planned Community
As your Rancho Santa Margarita City Councilman, I will promise to make all decisions presented before me in consideration of what is best for our residents and our local businesses. I will work to preserve our city's master plan, zoning ordinances, and the original vision for Rancho Santa Margarita, and I will always vote from a fair and unbiased perspective, just as I have for the past 5 years as Planning Commissioner.
